New grant call opened for Europe's blue economy
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has announced the launch of a new grant call under the “EIT Water” program, a new Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) focused on water, marine and maritime ecosystems.[1]
The program aims to strengthen the European blue economy and develop innovative solutions for water management, and aims to guide Europe’s water policies by supporting projects that address critical issues such as water scarcity, drought, flooding and ecosystem degradation.
The call, which can be applied by universities and research institutions, industry leaders and entrepreneurs, public institutions and NGOs, will provide a grant of €5 million in the first phase, followed by annual support of €20-35 million.
The deadline for applications to the call is June 17, 2025.
